About the Proposed Revisions

"2. National /International Institutions and Democracy" to be changed to "Institutions and Democracy". - Reason: Obviously, the WSF deals with both national and international institutions, as well as with regional and global, or "world", institutions.

"4. Housing" to be changed to "4. Habitat and housing". - Reason:
- "15. Debt" to be changed to "15. Taxation, debt and public finance". - Reasons: a) from the start, taxation has been a major theme of the WSF. Compare, for instance, the role of ATTAC (Association to Tax financial Transactions to Aid Citizens) in the making of the WSF. b) In accordance with the WSF Charter of Principles, we are against the excessive Neoliberalist privatization of public services. Now several of the actionable themes (Water, Health, Education etc.) refer to more or less public services. In order to have public services, we need public finances. At the global level, we need a new financial archticture and "world public finances"..
- "17. Free Trade" to be changed to "Trade and transportation". - Reason: a) Not only more or less "free" trade, but trade as such, should be on the WSF's agenda; b) transportation needs to be

mentioned among the actionable themes.

- Slashes have been substituted with commas and "and". - Reason: the slashes sometimes seem to indicate opposition, in other cases just conjunction.
The order may be left as it is
Let's agree that these actionable themes are all of great concern to the WSF, and that regardless of their order, the list provides a handy, yet fairly complete overview.
