Involving librarians in the Social Forum

wsflibrary.org is part of the pilot project of Kenya Library Association (KLA).

Our goal is to create a permanent link between the Social Forum and the Library. The goal is explained in a number of Quotations.

This website was started in January 2007 at the time of the the WSF in Nairobi. Seventy East African librarians participated in the documentation of the events and activities of the Nairobi WSF. Click Nairobi WSF 2007 for an overview of what they did!

A link to progressive American librarians was forged at the first USSF in Atlanta in June-July 2007. Library-related activities are in preparation for the European Social Forum in Malmö, Sweden, in September 2008. The the WSF 2009 will be arranged in Belem, Brazil.

You may start using this site by registering an account for yourself. Thereafter you may create pages about the WSF-activities which interest you most, about your organisation or movement, and about yourself. Every registered user automatically has a personal page. There you may inform others about your program, your contact details, etc.

Search: Type a word or name in the search-field (left panel) and hit the Search-button to look for information on this site. Use the Go-button when you want to go a page, or create a new page.

Left Navigation Bar: Consult the Help-page for tips on how to edit and create new pages. Grapevine is a talk-page for news and gossip. Consult the Thematic Terrains-page about classifying the information about the Nairobi WSF. Pilot project agenda is for those who participate in the pilot project of the KLA.

Pomoja tunaweza - Together we can! All participants in the Nairobi WSF are invited to contribute to this site as well as to http://www.wsfprocess.org/. We cooperate with the Memory Project of the WSF.

In case of controversy about information on this site, use the Discussion pages (each page has one).
