The themes of the Nairobi WSF 2007
The self-organised and co-organised activities of the Nairobi WSF have been registered in 9 categories, called thematic terrains. These are:
1. Building a world of peace, justice, ethics and respect for diverse spiritualities Category:Terrain 1
2. Liberating the world from the domination of multinational and financial capital Category:Terrain 2
3. Ensuring universal and sustainable access to the common goods of humanity Category:Terrain 3
4. Democratizing knowledge and information Category:Terrain 4
5. Ensuring dignity, defending diversity, guaranteeing gender equality and eliminating all forms of discrimination Category:Terrain 5
6. Guaranteeing economic, social and cultural rights, especially the rights to food, healthcare, education, housing, employment and decent work Category:Terrain 6
7. Building a world order based on sovereignty, self-determination and rights of the peoples Category:Terrain 7
8. Constructing a people-centered and sustainable economy Category:Terrain 8
9. Building real democratic political structures and institutions with people’s participation on decisions and control of public affairs and resources Category:Terrain 9
Classify the information about the activities according to the thematic terrains
We suggest that all articles and information about specific activities during the Nairobi WSF be classified according to Thematic Terrain. Thus, each time you create an article about a conference or workshop, remember to mention its Terrain at the bottom of the page. Example: the conference Unlocking the Global Information Fortress belongs to Terrain 4: Democratizing knowledge and information. If you create an article about this event, you should enter the text Category:Terrain 4 within two brackets on a separate line at the bottom of that article's page like this:
[[:Category:Terrain 4]]
