Summary
South Asian People's initiatives(SAPI) is a platform initiated in 2003 after the world social Forum in Mumbai.
It has facilitated networking of more than 100 faith-based and secular organizations in India,Sri Lanka and Nepal
SAPI believes in and promoted democratic egalitarian,secular,cultural-pluralist society through
collective search and action with and on behalf of the marginalised communities that include
indigenous peoples,women,unorganized workers,youth,children.refugees and the minorities
Recommendations
Local people should have bargaining powers
There must be market globalisation there should be sharing of riches,resources and form a platform to demand their rights.
They should fight for peace and promotion of solidarity and dignity for the poor.
Another world is not only possible but necessary when all the marginalised groups are together and fight for their rights
