The next WSF will take place in Tunis from the 26th to the 30th of March 2013. The Maghrebian Social Forum's Steering Committee and the WSF 2013 Tunisian Secretariat ave invited movements, unions, organizations and groups of activists of civil society from Tunisia, Maghreb, Machrek, Africa, from the Mediterranean region and from around the world to make a success of this important step : the organization of and the participation in the 12th World Social Forum. Wsflibrary.org begun as a facility for East African librarians who wanted to document the World Social Forum in Nairobi, Kenya, January 2007. Learning how to use wikis, and other social networking skills, were/are also part of the project. (See Nairobi WSF 2007 for the outcome.) To our knowledge, librarians did not carry out any corresponding documentation project during the WSF in Belem, Brazil, January-February 2009, (See Belem WSF 2009). The WSF Library project continued at the Dakar WSF 6-11 February 2011. Librarians and archivists from Senegal, Mali, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, Uganda, the Netherlands and Finland, assisted by volunteers from the EBAD library school in Dakar, participated in the daily project activities at the Bibliothèque Universitaire (BU) of the Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD).

The WSF is not only a series of events, but also a world-wide process which includes many regional national and local social forums. Our goal is to create a permanent link between the Social Forum and the Library.

The activities of the Nairobi WSF were ordered in 21 classes, which had been identified as the main actionable themes of the WSF by its International Council. An important question is whether to settle for these themes, at least for the time being.
