World Social Forum - nairobi : Kenya - a personal account
The forum attracted a big number of delegates that converged in Nairobi from every continent in the World.
Thousands of delegate, put their mind and energies together to seek the means for the construction of alternatives that will ensure a World that is governed by principles of fairness, solidarity and respect for human dignity.
Among these were paesant communities; Slum dwellers; factory workers; youth from diverse backgrounds; activists; feministts; radical intellectuals and militants all aiming to find the solution to a meaningful change.
With the WSF, taking place on the African soil, it brings home the conceipt of pan - Africanism, that began with post independence African leaders, such as Kwame Nkrumah and Julius Nyerere.
WSF is guided by principles while on the other hand it is an open space for all participants to exercise their freedoms of assembly and expression. Indeed with the coming of the WSF - another World becomes possible.
