Dakahumas Youth Initiative was formed in 2004 by a collaboration of up coming [http://www.thoughtmechanics.com/ atlanta web design company] artists groups from Dandora Kariobangi, Huruma, Mathare estates. The group use participatory education theatre to sensitize the community on issues such as rape, HIV testing, child abuse, drug abuse and early pregnancy.

The organisation does its work through the following programmes:

2.Sports/Social events

3.Exhibition

4.Miss Huruma beauty pageant

5.Peer Education

However, Dakahuma believes in self reliance towards realizing its goals and objectives by offering services such as design and print information, education and communication material, consultancy services in the field of drugs and substance abuse, etc.
