Summary of Issues

That a campaign for MNCs to publish the profits they make from their operations in the South.

-That they should be made to invest more in the poor countries they operate in and sell shares to the locals

They should be more transparent.

-The media, public and consumers be incorporated. The consumers are very powerful in changing transnational companies operations. Any action that is negative to the companies by consumers leads to immediate results as they cannot do without their consumers.

That more attention should be put on labour matters to avoid discriminating tendencies by transnational corporations.

It, however, should be noted that transnational corporations often change tactics when cornered. That is when they resort to corporate social responsibility, donating money and hoodwinking the consumers and civil society. This should be resisted.
