Concept
World Public Finances (WPF) has been launched by NIGD and Liberdade Brasil to constitute a process in which we work towards a common conceptual agreement on which measures are needed to safeguard public finances in all levels.

Meetings during the Nairobi WSF 21 and 24 January
The first meeting was attended by 24 persons from 14 countries.
The second meeting was attended by ca 30 persons.
Examples of campaigns and organisations which were represented at the meetings:
- Attac (Campaigns for a taxation of financial transactions)
- Globalpolicy.org
- Tax Justice Network
- Terre sans frontieres
Among those who spoke at both meetings were: Francine Mestrum (Attac Flanders), Antonio Martins
(Attac Brasil), Matti Kohonen (Tax Justice Network).

Recommendations
- deepen the concept and launch it during the G8 in Berlin at the beginning of June 2007
- set up a website in February 2007 for cooperation on the concept
