Summary of issues
The G8 is a combination of 8 countries: USA. Canada, France, Japan, Great Britain, Italy Germany and Russia.
The G8 meeeting will take place from 6th to 8th June 2007 in Heiqendan on Germanys Baltic Sea.
The reasons for abolishing this summit are:
The politics of the G8 stand for neoliberal globalised capitalism which dramatically increases the gap between the rich and the poor world wide.
The G8 summits are a symbol they serve those in governments as a de,ontration of their powerm. There is no alternative to the new world
At the G8 summit politics are concretely made and cordinated intersts of big bussiness and financial investors are central
The G8 talk about debt relief for the poor, they remain silent about the fact that hunger, poverty and indebtedness are the result of neoliberal globalised capitalism
The G8 is an institution without legitimacy , it is a web of only 8 states which arrogates to make decisions that affect the lived reality of people around the world. Inworder to change the world to make another world possible we have to work together and empower the civil society.
We have to fight poverty and eradicate illiteracy and also have accountable leaders who must deliver to the citizens,
