Many people might want to look nice when they go to church, so they might want to clean their shoes before they go and keep them looking nice by taking good care of them. These type of people may be neat freaks and would want to clean and polish them until they shine. Maybe you would want to do this every day or at least every time before you wear them.
You may also find a kit on television that you are the most impressed with and may decide to order it and have it delivered to you. It may take a while for it to get to your house but as long as you do not go anywhere that requires you to wear them, then you should not mind if it takes a couple weeks to get to your house.
Before you're heading out the door, you may want to give your child a lecture and remind them that you spent good money on something nice for them to wear so you would expect your child to keep them as nice as when you first bought them. Depending on how young your child is, they may not fully understand you or know what to do.
The key is to wear something comfortable at all times. This situation may make you angry or upset because you may have just spent good money on them and they're practically brand new. Now you can not even return them because one of them has a missing heel, and they probably will not take it back unless you complain to the store manager about that.
You can also wear them to a fancy business party you may have or a holiday party where you would have to dress up. You have to buy a pair that would go with whatever you're wearing because it has to look good. You do not want to walk into a party having your entire ensemble not matching even though no one their may not care what you're wearing.
Wearing dress shoes on your graduation day may not be the best thing because everyone there wants you to be as comfortable as possible. The shoes that you may have picked out to wear on that day may not be the best ones for you to wear.
