A new WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization) should be legitimated by its attitude to charters and international conventions.
WFTO, recognizing that Trade is to serve mankind, and impacts on our ecosystem, states:
1) Primacy of Human Rights
The WFTO recognizes any United Nations legal instruments, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
2) Protection of Life and Biodiversity
The WFTO adopts the Environmental Charter, and acts so as to protect life, biosphere and biodiversity.
3) Trade is only second to 1) and 2)
The WTFO subordinates commercial interests to .../...(to be developed further, such as...)
